Course Objectives: SWBAT use multimedia/hypermedia to create ambiguity, doubt, or mystery in order to spur the learning process. Students will also be able to deliver content via multimedia and hypermedia. Specifically, students will design and create a music video, PowerPoint presentation, and Hyperstudio stack that will meet a PA State Standard. Students will demonstrate the ability to apply the essential concepts of constructivism as well as the principles found in the INTASC Standards. Students will be able to effectively demonstrate the use of a digital video camera, Imovie, PowerPoint, Dreamweave, and Hyperstudio software programs.

The
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires teacher education programs to phase in
overall minimum GPA requirements for student teaching and certification as
follows:
Academic
Year: 2002-2003 2.80 Overall GPA
Academic
Year: 2003-2004 3.0 Overall GPA
Students
must meet the above minimum GPA requirements to formally enter the teacher
education program, register for student teaching, and apply for Pennsylvania
teacher certification regardless of when they entered King’s College.

Projects
1. A music video intended to help you teach your future students to meet a PA State Standard (Click here for PA Standards). You will be able to demonstrate your ability to apply the principles found in the INTASC Standards (click here for INTASC Standards)
2. PowerPoint presentation intended to help you teach your future students to meet a PA State Standard (Click here for PA Standards). You will be able to demonstrate your ability to apply the principles found in the INTASC Standards (click here for INTASC Standards)
3. Hyperstudio stack intended to help you teach your future students to meet a PA State Standard (Click here for PA Standards). You will be able to demonstrate your ability to apply the principles found in the INTASC Standards (click here for INTASC Standards)
4. Develop a webpage using Dreamweaver so that each of the above projects are showcased. Use your webpage to demonstrate how each project is aligned with INTASC standards.
(Note:
No late assignments will be accepted.)
